FAR Bazaar Crafts Class

FREE CLASS!! -  FAR BAZAAR

FAR Bazaar--FREE Group Activity

FREE CLASS--Grant Funded.  FAR BAZAAR Crafts class is project-oriented.  Each week we will create and complete a project that will be for sale at our FAR BAZAAR.  Proceeds fund this program.  The bazaar will be held at our fundraiser, Flutes, Friends & Fa-La-La on Thursday, November 16, 2006.  Items from the bazaar will be available for purchase through the office and eventually on the FAR website, www.varietyfarconservatory.org.  The students involved will learn to work on a cooperative, creative effort, and on marketing and sales skills and life skills needed to take part in creating products and running a store.  The ultimate goal is for participants to take pride in what they have created and develop positive self-esteem.  Janis Kaufman, one of our Art Therapists, will oversee this part of the project.  Judith Schwarzer, community volunteer and former art teacher, will be lending us her skills as well.  Different members of our art and recreation staff and many community leaders will work on weekly projects.  If you, or anyone else in the community, would like to participate, please let us know.  We are gearing this program toward our teenagers and young adults, but if you have a student who is a little younger, enjoys arts and crafts and can concentrate for 1-1/2 hours, we will consider them.  Wednesday 6:30 - 8:00 PM.  THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS PROGRAM.
